About the role
This is a senior, market-facing seat reporting to the Managing Partner. You set where we play, who we cover, and how opportunities are routed between advisory and capital.
You will carry the firm's most important relationships yourself — founders, sponsors, family offices, DFIs, banks, advisers and intermediaries — and be measured on mandates signed and deals approved, not meetings held.
What you will do
- Set the origination strategy: priority sectors, segments, geographies and target lists, aligned to each arm's capacity and appetite.
- Build and lead the coverage team; allocate coverage, set targets and run the pipeline rhythm.
- Personally originate and own the firm's most important relationships across founders, sponsors, institutions and intermediaries.
- Qualify and route opportunities to Partners or Capital, or design a combined approach, with clean hand-offs.
- Own the CRM as the single source of truth and report origination KPIs to the partners.
- Drive conversion from first meeting to signed mandate or approved deal, in partnership with arm leads.
- Represent the firm in the market through events, forums and thought leadership.
- Steward fair routing — manage conflicts between the arms and protect client and firm interests.
What we are looking for
- Five to seven years in advisory, capital, banking or principal investing with a proven origination record.
- A live, relevant network among founders, sponsors, institutions and intermediaries.
- Track record building and leading a coverage or business development team.
- Strong commercial judgement and the credibility to sit with a CEO or a credit committee.
Helpful, not required
- Degree plus a relevant professional qualification (ICAN, ACCA or CFA)
