About the role

Clean books, on-time filings and reliable management accounts are the baseline this function exists to deliver.

The role is execution-focused but carries real ownership as the firm scales.

What you will do

  • Maintain accurate bookkeeping, ledger entries, reconciliations and month-end close.
  • Own on-time submission of all statutory and regulatory filings: VAT, tax, payroll and annual returns.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance commentary and AR/AP ageing schedules.
  • Maintain the compliance calendar and ensure zero late filings or avoidable penalties.
  • Support process improvement and documentation of standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain data integrity within the firm's accounting system.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
  • Two to three years of bookkeeping, accounting or finance operations experience.
  • Working knowledge of Nigerian tax and statutory filing requirements.
  • Strong Excel and accounting-software proficiency.

Helpful, not required

  • Part-qualification (ICAN or ACCA)
